Armada VJJ (2012) Skis

For too long there has not been a one quiver rockered ski for woman that will float like a dream in the powder and carve like a champ on the harder stuff you have either had to use an oversize men's ski or an undersized woman's ski that was not fit for the job. Armada has realised this and have developed the VJJ woman's ski. It is a woman's specific version of the original JJ utilizing patented EST Freeride Rocker but with all the requirements that validate it with the ladies.

AR50 Sidewall
ABS sidewall meets Cap construction - the best of both worlds. This engineering method combines the lightweight cap construction in the tip and tail with the ABS sidewall underfoot, resulting in enhanced edge hold and significantly lower swing and overall weight.

Hybrid Ultralight Core
using select 375kg/3m wood stringers that have unusually high strength-to-weight ratios, Ultralight cores allow Armada's widest skis maintain a light-yet-stable feel.

EST Freeride Rocker
The best of both worlds. Rockered tips and tails combined with positive camber underfoot to promote floatation in soft snow and provide remarkable edge control on the harder packed snow.

50/50 Base
As the name implies, the 50/50 is faster than the S7 and more rugged than the Comp Series bases.

CK stringer
A blend of Carbon/Kevlar stringers that run along the tail of the ski to help stabilize it. This creates a better landing platform, especially when your weight is further back than you intended. It also increases snap and adds pop to ollies.

Laminate matrix
Armada know from the core out exactly how each ski should react, so three kinds of fibreglass laminates are used in combination to deliver the exact amount of flex and tensional rigidity. Bi-axial fibreglass runs in an "X" pattern down the ski to control lateral flex. Uni-directional fibreglass controls flex along the length of the ski. And tri-axial fibreglass, with fibres running in three directions, beefs up the centre of the ski. The permutations of the three fibreglasses are nearly limitless and allow Armada to precision tune the performance of every ski they make.

1.7 Impact Edge
The edge height and width is deliberately smaller and the steel is heat treated proprietary hardness to increase durability and decrease weight.
