Features

Cap
This method wraps the wood core with composite fibreglass layers that creating a torsional box. The base assembly is inserted in to the mold, and then the fibreglass wrapped core and top material added. A variable slant between the base and top sheet creates a super-durable and light ski with a balanced flex.

Fleet Core
Similar to the Double zone core, but with a slow taper to 45 degrees towards the tip and tails. This eases entry and exit into and out of turns for lighter riders.

Positive Camber
Traditional camber engages the tip and tail of the ski, enhancing ease of entry and exit into and out of a turn, while maintaining solid edge hold.

S7 Base
Improved for 10/11, the new S7 features a gliding additive for increased speed and longevity. Armada's toughest base, find the S7 base on any ski that's looking for rails, ledges, boxes as much as snow.

Laminate Matrix
Armada know from the core out exactly how each ski should react, so three kinds of fibreglass laminates are used in combination to deliver the exact amount of flex and torsional rigidity. Bi-axial fibreglass runs in an "X" pattern down the ski to control lateral flex. Uni-directional fibreglass controls flex along the length of the ski. And tri-axial fibreglass, with fibres running in three directions, beefs up the centre of the ski. The permutations of the three fibreglasses are nearly limitless and allow Armada to precision tune the performance of every ski they make.

2.5 Impact Edge
This edge had and oversized height and width and the steel is heat-treated to a proprietary hardness which helps resist breaking and tearing out from the rails, ledges and any other abuse it might meet.
