Salomon Mai Tai (2011) Skis
Reference freestyle ski for the best girls in the park. The Mai Tai has been designed around the Salomon Suspect, it is a solid park and pipe ski also excellent on all-terrain. Take it out of the park and the mountain is really your oyster, it's great in the bumps, crud, and powder and stable on ice. The Mai Tai is light and lively and has just about enough width underfoot to take it in to the deeper stuff. The Mai Tai features a strong full wood core which gives a long life span of consistently poppy and stable flex coupled with a pulse pad which is a special rubber running the length of the edges and at certain points in the ski to give a smoother feel and less vibration, so better ski to snow contact. The edge armour is weaved between the edges to help to prevent edge blow out on rails and boxes
Technologies
Construction & Core: Full Woodcore, TwinTip & Sandwich Sidewall Wood from tip to tail for optimum stability on snow and powerful rebound as well as maximizes ski to snow contact and filters vibrations. One way or another! Sandwich sidewalls for extraordinary smooth ski/snow contact and great terrain adaption. A MUST for Park & Pipe and performance proven in the race Milieu!
Specific Features: PULSE PAD A layer of rubber along the edges and in certain zones of the ski for smoother ride & improved ski-snow contact.
Edge: Wider Edges, Total Edge Reinforcement & Edge Armour Thicker edges for increased durability and improved shock resistance. A fibre reinforcement directly on edges that provides edge stiffness for improved edge durability and grip.Extremely strong polyethylene fibre cord attached between the edges of the skis: => 25% less edge depression, => 10% less edge wrenching.
