Salomon Czar (2011) Skis
The go-to ski for back country, big mountain riding. This is the ski that the Salomon riders go for when filming in the back country with its rockered tip and tail giving it awesome floatation in the deep stuff. The Czar's features include twin tip allowing you to ride switch and stomp those switch landings. The full wood core gives it great transmission and rebound and for a wide ski under foot performs brilliantly on the way back to the lift. New 190cm length for 2010.
Technologies
Construction & Core: Double Monocoque, Full Woodcore & Edgy Monocoque Double layer of fibres for MAXIMUM response and edge grip. Wood from tip to tail for optimum stability on snow and powerful rebound as well as maximizes ski to snow contact and filters vibrations. Offers precise edge grip, no excess material, efficient energy transfer from skier to snow for freeski practices.
Specific Features: PULSE PAD, High Twin Tip Tail & ROCKER A layer of rubber along the edges and in certain zones of the ski for smoother ride & improved ski-snow contact. High twin tip tail to land your big switch powder jumps. The progressive reverse camber technology made for the powder skis to float on snow.
Edge: Wider Edges & Total Edge Reinforcement Thicker edges for increased durability and improved shock resistance. A fibre reinforcement directly on edges that provides edge stiffness for improved edge durability and grip.
